Pavel Dvorský
Born on the 8th of September 1946 in Brno.While studying at the Folk school of Art, he met the excellent painter Petr Skácel, brother of the famous poet Jan Skácel. From 1962, he studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Brno, where significant Czech artist Dalibor Chatrný led the atelier. From 1966, he studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague in the atelier of Antonín Strnadel, followed by Jiří Trnka, which he was forced to leave after a year for health reasons, and Zdeněk Sklenář took his place. In 1972, he completed his study with a graduation thesis on the topic of František Halas Koho Plaší Smrt. He worked in Brno until 1990 as a freelancer.
He collaborated with a number of publishers, for example, the Moravian Museum, etc. In 1990, he returned to his secondary school, this time as a teacher, and later founded the new discipline (scientific drawing and illustration), where he is still the leader. Now he lives and works with his current wife, Pavla Dvorská (Hochmanová).
